DRM is dead

Finally, Steve Jobs just annouced that he wants to scrap DRM! Most consumers never believed in DRM anyway but media companies jammed it down consumers’ throats. Soon, we’ll see DRM in the graveyard!

    Thanks for sharing this post! Steve Jobs’ memo was quite inspiring and I think his rationale was really, really astute. If Apple were to pursue the route where they would license out their FairPlay DRM system, they would undoubtedly get into the viscious cat-and-mouse game of “hacker-vs-patcher” that had haunted many other comapnies such as Microsoft in the past.
